Here it is MD ... Canal Fun Day ... http://www.linlithgow.com/events.htm :)
MD08/16/15 15:00
I just had a look at the Linlithgow Gazette but I didn't see any mention of this.
MD08/16/15 14:53
Hi Mira ... obviously something special going on!
Mira Bilis08/16/15 14:39
Wow ... lots of people here today!
MD07/26/15 14:16
A Lot of debris on the canal.
MD04/26/15 16:16
Mira .... that's exactly what my daughter does. Everything she watches is downloaded ... no ad breaks. There have been quite a few progs recently about people living on benefits and they always manage to choose smokers, drinkers and people with a tribe of kids and/or dogs. They never show ordinary people who are in genuine need through no fault of their own - and they do exist. I think it's deliberately done to stir up animosity.
Mira Bilis04/26/15 16:03
LOL MD! Yes ... the majority of "documentaries" on tv these days have to be dumbed down to appeal to the 'reality tv' crowd. There are a few rare exceptions once in a while but mostly it's trash television for the masses. One more reason to only watch downloaded programmes that we choose, not the networks. ;)
MD04/26/15 15:37
Mira ..... having watched some of the so-called "documentaries" on tv - I'd never dream of getting involved. I picture that whoever does put themself forward will be shown as a brainless idiot with nothing better to do. Oh dear ..... maybe I'd fit in very well!!! LOL

Looks like an interesting company that Ms Miller works for ...

Hello, we are making a TV documentary about cameras in the home and the variety of reasons why people install and watch them (I should emphasise we’re not interested in sex cams). I would love to talk to people who watch this and other live feed cameras. Please get in touch with me on 0207 456 0847 or Luisa.Miller[at]raw.co.uk

For the last couple days I've not seen one soul yet. Maybe I'm viewing it at the wrong time.

Mira and N Q..... Not much point putting this on Tybee cam!
N Q.... when we lived in the foothills of the Pyrenees we had friends who lived near the Canal du Midi. There were always visitors in their little village... looking for refreshments and supplies. I gather that some of them did moan about the locks. It doesn't appeal to me.... too much hard work. :)
Mira Bilis12/30/14 19:14
I only just noticed that tree NQ!
N Q12/20/14 23:35
MD I have a friend who with a group of friends, captain 4 boats down through a river in France. She said they went through over 200 locks and each lock took so long to go through that it took all of the enjoyment out of their trip.
In the 8 hour still you can see a christmas tree.
MD07/07/14 22:03
I'm told it's absolutely exhausting going through them, all that opening and closing causes such back ache apparently! :D
