i think i read that it has only the necessary things to surf the internet with wich they say makes the computer run faster and better!!....i don't know!!!!

I've not seen that before Trix. It might be worth a look, although I see it's got some mixed reviews on some of the tech websites ... some people are saying it's just a stripped down version of Firefox and less user-friendly.

let me know what you think about it....i read it but it was all jibberish once they started saying numbers and capitol letters that don't spell anything!!!!!!!
I don't use my old XP machine much these days but I did notice just now that it's running an older version of Firefox, so the Live Feed still works perfectly. :)

Mira Bilis, Update said it wasn't for XP. It installed with no errors on my laptop which runs XP. It works just fine it just takes a little bit of time setting up Java configuration.

Thanks Teo ... I'll certainly look into that for my laptop ... I know OldVersion.com has some older Java versions. Interestingly, I also have an old clunker XP desktop which uses an older version of Java but it won't run any of the cams that it used to because it now conflicts with the latest Java update (which it can't install due to being XP.)

Mira Bilis, I had to fiddle with mine a bit. Java updates stink. They don't remove old versions. You have to remove all the old java updates manually. I delete java completely and download and install the latest version. You could install an older version. They are available. I don't let any program update automatically.

Hi Teo .... I have many Java cam URL's on my exceptions list which have remained in operation since the last Java update ... however, now I find that if I try to add any new exceptions, Java no longer accepts them.

James, regarding your cam. Java security doesn't like the security on this and other sites that are not using the latest protocols. You can choose live feed or you can open up the configure java program and make an exception for the sites you want to visit that java blocks. You can do a google search and find a walk-through for your operating system. This happened when you upgraded Java. I fixed mine, I'm sure you can fix yours. Good Luck
