Well the IP actually said Oakland, CA but as somebody had labelled this Daly City I thought I'd check the doctor's name in that location first ... and it came up.

The banner on the wall says "Congratulations Dr Maristela." I think we found out who works here. ;-)
I think you are probably right Carol ... most adults seem to come in with children.

I can't remember, it was something I seen that made me believe that.
Mira Bilis12/10/13 23:30
Actually ... on reflection, I think it's a smartphone doctor's waiting room ... I mean, look at all those poor smartphones being brought in by everyone. ;-P
MD12/10/13 23:10
Like right now.
Mira Bilis12/10/13 22:53
Personally, I've seen plenty of adults with no children. :-)
MD12/10/13 22:21
Hi Carol, somebody has to say it..... how do you know? :)
CAROL SCARBOROUGH12/10/13 21:15
It's a Pediactric Dr's office.

I agree MD - having a cam that you personally control in your own home is one thing, but having a 'security' cam in a doctor's office that you have no control over, is entirely something else. This is too intrusive. I still think they are unaware it's set to 'public' viewing.

Hi Mira Bilis, yes, it was an interesting item, I read every word and I still think this cam shouldn't be here. On the rare occasion when I go to the surgery, it's my private business. I don't even tell family. And,since seeing THIS cam, I've checked out my doctor's waiting room. It has no visible cam! :))

Here's an interesting article from a couple of years ago, on the subject of cameras in waiting rooms ... http://techtipsandtoys.wordpress.com/2011/07/08/are-security-cameras-appropriate-in-a-doctor-or-dentist%e2%80%99s-waiting-room/

I just Googled Daly City doctors offices and there are quite a few. Impossible to know which one this is so there's no chance of letting them know.

This camera has to be illegal! It is against all privacy laws to have this camera pushing the faces of patients out onto the open internet. Too bad we don't know which office it is so we could clue them in. They need to password protect their feed.
