There was a cam at Paignton, where my son lived. I live on the edge of the moors and sometimes it's raining near me but not at Paignton. I used to be able to check on the cam if the weather was good at Paignton.  I still have the link to the cam and often look at it. Annoyingly ..... there's a large white vehicle spoiling the view ........ but I still look at it.  LOL

As you say, fingers crossed,  I do like catching up on that camera

It may come back.  I've known a cam be offline for a year or so and then return.  Fingers crossed.  :)

Used to love watching as I have a couple of old friends that live in Cheyene, unfortunately where originally you could see most of the Plaza giving you the chance to see what is happening, it was then turned to point directly up Capitol Avenue which was still nice to watch, now however I don't get "Live Feed" at all, hope this is not permanent

I have a niece who got the flu before christmas and it went a way after a couple of days, then it came back after christmas and she's had it for over a week now--it sounds like nasty stuff :(

LOL ... actually I agree with Carol ... the official website calls it 'Depot Tower Webcam' if you look on her link ... so there's nothing incorrect about calling it that ... however, I think we can compromise.  :)

Carol..... maybe that's what I'm missing.... I get no face to face stuff..... everybody around is so placid. I think it comes from living surrounded by docile cows and sheep!!  LOL

No N.Q. I did not take it that way at all. I totally agree with u. I just happened to come across this cam when I was looking for a location on another one and seen a different description. So it was an impulse. No worries, the original description is much better.

Carol I re-read my post and I think I sounded bitchy in it, which isn't what I meant to sound like !

I just meant that when a webcam is named with what we're seeing, I'ld rather have it left like that, then to know what building the webcam is located on and in this case this webcam has always been pointed at this street, it's not a roaming view, so the street that we're looking at would be the correct name for this cam.

On the otherhand there are webcams where we have no idea of what we're looking at, so in those cases then I'm more then ok with the cam name being name something like "view from such & such building".
