Sigh...still no closer to my dream week in Germany...even though it looks a little blustery today iin Dahme, I would still be overjoyed to be there...

MD 05/23/18 08:24

Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Liese Lindemann 05/23/18 03:46

I'm not sure, MD - it might be. I couldn't zoom in!

MD 05/20/18 13:03

Is "frolicking" a euphemism?   LOL!!!

Liese Lindemann 05/20/18 02:59

Three friends are frolicking on the beach at sunrise <3

MD 05/13/18 11:56

Yes .... it's a lovely view.

Beautiful view of the sea and fabulous sunsets. Oh, I would like to be there. Looking at this cam, I can almost feel the sand between my toes! ????

I'd like one of those seats.

Mira Bilis 08/03/15 15:17

Nice to see good weather bringing everyone out for a change ... this place often looks too cold and cloudy.

Teo West 07/26/15 17:27

I just saw miss Marple walk by.

MD 06/23/15 16:28

I love those seats. Nice to sit there looking out to sea without getting burned or blown about.

Mira Bilis 06/23/15 16:08

Good to see summer weather here ... it often looks so bleak.

MD 05/04/15 14:25

A sunny afternoon at Dahme.

I think they're a great design. :)

Mira Bilis.... I'm reading an interesting book, Lucky Girl Goodbye, written  by Renate Greenshields. I've only got a little way in but  she's been ill and gets taken to Langeoog, Germany, to convalesce. On page 10 it says" Numerous photographs showed the happy party in large wicker chairs, whose backs ended in a roof above so as to provide shelter from both sun and wind."  That was in 1930. Obviously they're still popular today.

Mira Bilis 08/02/14 20:17

I so agree MD.  :D

MD 08/02/14 20:09

I would be happy to sit in/on one of these seats, just looking out to sea with no sunburn to worry about, and no draught on the back of my neck!  LOL

Mira Bilis 08/02/14 19:36

Sounds like me Trix ... I hate mixing with crowds ... if I can avoid them, I will.  ;)

looks like seating for people who don't want to be seen in public...
