It doesn't really look any more "deserted" than the average small town in America to me, judging from what I've seen on Opentopia ... or Streetview for that matter. :)

NQ.... Trix and I have both seen people and I saw a car moving. otherwise... it looks like a ghost town. I love it.
N Q09/20/14 15:45
OMG--after making my post here I scrolled back up and there are people walking around around near the buildings in the lower right side of the cam !
N Q09/20/14 15:43
It is pretty but I still think it's strange we never see people here.
I did see a car one day drive up to the building closest to the lake, but that's the only movement I've seen here.

I love the look of this place.

In Cogolin market, France, there is a stall that sells nothing but olives. There are so many varieties..... our market man is happy to let people try them. At least.... he used to let us try them, I'm assuming he's still there.

i put black olives in everything...
MD08/31/14 15:05
Green ones are picked earlier but that's because they're picked before they're ripe. I love black olives. I always have some in the cupboard.
trix abound08/31/14 14:57
i didn't know olives were picked in winter...always learning...lol
MD08/31/14 14:49
When I first came across this place I thought the trees were to provide shade for campers but I think you are right. They could be either fruit or olives.... or anything. Olives are harvested in the winter, obviously fruit would be anytime now.
I just saw a car go from the waterfront building towards the church on the left. Until today I'd never seen any signs of life.
trix abound08/31/14 14:38
i wonder what kind of trees those are....fruit or olive trees maybe??
MD08/31/14 14:32
Trix.... I just saw your last comment. And when I enlarged the picture I saw what looked like ants moving about. Obviously they were people. I'm so pleased that this place isn't being wasted.

MD07/28/14 13:48
And still no signs of life. Maybe in winter we'll see smoke coming out of a chimney or 2.
