Hi Mira Bilis.... it has to be native language. if that's what they call it... so it should be.
I love looking at the names of places on the east coast of the US. So many familiar names from all over the UK rubbing elbows with each other. People who migrated were very brave to go to an unknown new country.

You are so right about Google Mira. I agree what u said about keeping it in its original name. I just do it out of habit cuz otherwise I dont know what the hell it says, lol.

LOL MD ... is Ausfahrt twinned with Rappel in France?? ;D

I also have to admit that I get a bit picky with names/translations. I often leave names in their native languages as they 'fit' better with the overall description, rather than going with some literal translation which often ends up not making sense or just looking odd. :) Google translate is definitely not an exact science, lol. ;)

On the door you can see the word Ausfahrt. I was driving on an autobarn in Germany and came across a sign with that word on it. A few miles further on I saw the same sign again. I remarked to my husband that Ausfahrt must be a large town as there were 2 motorway exits for it, I assumed north and south. A bit further on we came across another sign... you've guessed it.... Ausfahrt actually means "Exit." :D

Carol... these automatic translators just don't think! LOL. I actually had the name Papiermuhle from your link and then looked it up on the map. You know what I'm like!!!! LOL!!!!

Lol, sorry that's just what it said on the website. I have everything automatically translated when I bring up a page. So Lets red thumb papermill and put the right name on there.

Ps... I green thumbed everything else. Are you on another Swiss roll today? LOL

Carol... I hate to be pernickety about it but the proper name is Papiermuhle. I know that probably translates to "paper mill" but when I type in Papiermuhle on Google maps I get there. When I type in "Paper Mill" there are 2 paper manufacturers near Berne that come up. I'm sure this is a car wash at Papiermuhle, rather than Paper Mill.
