There was this design somewhere on the platau near Black Canyon Arizona, near the bottom , (I think), but not sure,,,, it was Arizona. Heck with my memory, could have been California, but.... It is not like the ones I saw, as they were small, about the size of a Computer desk.
Perhaps one of you out there know of which I speak ?, it was instruments for an observtory.
I saw it when they had those nasty fires there.
In any case hope it helps as to the design , where it came from, seems the Japanese are very good at seeing an art form
