Not sure what Pier this is but its not The Santa Monica Pier. The Santa Monica Pier has a ferris wheel and a roller coaster on it.

I surmise that Irvine is displayed according to the IP number of the webcam.
for example, http://www.geoiptool.com/
http://geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm?GetLocation
There is incompleteness in the conversion of IP to location.
And we user cannot rectify it by the "edit" :(
I think that the new Opentopia still needs to be improved more.
I dont know who keeps posting Irvine. Irvine is a little bit inland and not on the water. This is Santa Monica, California.
