Gorgeous again. I wish they had live feed instead of just refreshing stills.

Sweet! It's past 10:30pm and you can still see a little sunlight!

Mira, I'd rather have a sharp frost than rain, freshens the air. Spring is here!

Another beautiful morning in BC. We had a frost overnight but it's shaping up to be a lovely day now. :-)

The sky looks just like here at the moment.

Mira Bilis, that view from Ben Nevis is absolutely breathtaking! I never knew it was flat at the top. Thanks for that.

PS: There's no ski cam at Ben Nevis in Scotland, but there is an awesome 360 degree panorama that's worth checking out. Move your g-man to the "blue spot" just right of Ben Nevis. :-)

WooHoo MD!!! :-D Maybe puts us in the right mood for the Sochi Winter Olympics (even though there is a lot of controversy over the crappy accommodation and sub-standard event conditions! ;-/ )

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! Thanks Mira, I've just ski'd down Powder Pass. (I had "ski'd" out of the Collins English Dictionary but I don't like it!)
Mira Bilis02/06/14 17:21
Hmmm ... that's odd. When I hover my g-man over the Crystal Mountain Resort marker he is indeed greyed out, but all the ski routes around it light up blue, meaning there are Streetview pictures. If it helps, there are names like Little Shot, Powder Pass and Downhill.
Mira Bilis, I've just done exactly that and I must be missing a trick because the G man won't even stay put, he insists on going back into his little box. :(
Mira Bilis02/06/14 16:30
I found it by typing "Crystal Mountain, WA" into the search box on Google Maps - that's the actual name of the ski resort. :-)

Mira Bilis, I've been all round Mt Rainier National Park and no sign of a G man on skis! Google was done in August 2013 and there were lots of people wearing shorts and summer clothes. I visited Cougar Rock campground and the Henry Jackson visitors centre so I've had a lovely morning out! I thought Paradise Valley Road and Paradise Road East would have been likely spots but no. White River Road (closed May) refused to let G man even go there. I'll continue. :)

Thank you. That's tomorrow taken care of!! They've just forecast even worse weather for tomorrow so I won't be going anywhere.

WOW!! That's beautiful.
Aha ... here's the cam page ... and it's live feed ...

Or you could start here ... http://www.opentopia.com/search.php?q=ski&r=1 ;-P
Check out Timberline Lodge & Ski Area (Mt. Hood Nat. Park ) in Oregon and Crystal Mountain (Mt. Rainier Nat. Park) in Washington, for starters. :-)
