Hi Kyle. I'm glad you rang your brother. It's good to talk. That's what the phone companies think!
kyle05/14/13 16:33
I just called him, and not him, it could have been since he is a avid RC'er hahahaah , he said that would be his wish hahahaha
kyle05/14/13 16:26
hahahaha cant be him, he is a surveyor for a large construction outfit, don think they would let him wander off hahaahha
kyle05/14/13 16:20
the fellow standing there with arms crossed looks spookily like my brother, maybe I might show up there later on, since I think he might have found this place
MD05/14/13 13:18
Hey Kyle, I suppose there's no chance of you turning up at this place and giving us a big wave? No? I thought not. Only kidding. When I first started looking at Opentopia in October 2012 there were less than 3,000 cams. Now it's well over 4,000. Seems there's something new every day.
kyle03/02/13 02:52
MD
The surface nearly floats on a ground water that's only inches below, amazing to me some time ago, but a fact of nature, the only way a large flood can happen here is if the ocean levels get too high. Where I'm at (30 miles directly inland) its about 8 to 10 feet to the water table (I hope) like a small hill, as Ive never tested it here. Guess I'm boring you kid, so that's enough hahaha be well
kyle03/02/13 02:51
Hi MD, thanks for the concern, uh, nope, not near me, thank goodness,. as i am honestly too curious, hahaha likely get arrested if I get interested hahaha
Actually, here its only great news for the locals if someone gets trapped in it, so not much coverage locally, as not earth shattering news here as not that rare. Sink hols are the product of underground dissolving or washing away of support of caves that are nearly everywhere here, water caves that is, they have been here since prehistoric times, some springs have at their bottoms some of the huge bird skeletons that roamed a million years ago, Im sure you have read about the buggers , they could have severed the head of a horse if they roamed now, or bite them in half . hahaha no thanks, glad THEY are gone.
The whole of Florida, or nearly is, calcium carbonate, like the stuff that leaves deposits in your water lines, or something similar to it. It sometimes dissolves the supports and a sink hole appears, sometimes a whopper. I think the whole of Florida is a sand bar because it was once a huge reef, the hard material is that ancient reef, conditions cause it to dissolve rapidly, like surface acid water seeping into it. I've seen it rain like a total cloud burst and it simply soaks in, in minutes.
MD03/01/13 19:38
Kyle, I just saw the news about that sink hole. I hope it's not anywhere near your.
kyle07/29/12 16:44
Great find XmBill, theree is needless bother over stray locations, fun to chase it down, never think I am upset over such thngs, sa good cams are fun to look at, someone will ferret out where it is, most times i can find it, however you have done a great detective job.
Thanks
PS, I live in J-ville

With a simple Goolgle search, I was able to determine that this cam IS indeed in Jacksonville Florida. The cam link is listed below. Hope this ends all the debates once and for all.
Good to see you post Ekaterina, this cam is special to me, as I like RoV playing at times, my brother is a RoV nut
(Remote operated vehicle)
Mr Fench is a nice fello that is part of OT, just so you know
Ekaterina05/27/12 21:47
It really is soooo windy! Poor you Kyle! Take care.
kyle03/24/12 17:27
pardon my keyboard, I keep threatening to get another one, seems it only misfires when I'm on here hahahahaha
kyle03/24/12 17:26
Mr Fench, sorry it's been so long, just touching the cams now and again. I a sure you are correct, besides, getting in a fuss over a location is silly, folks need to simply enjoy. I helped locate a couple acurate IPs, too much trouble hahahahahahaah. I hope all is well around the homefront for you fellows. Slowly but surely, its picking up here on OT. Most of the old gang has wandered off, the upside is most of the agitators are gone, hoorah on that.
Be well, and hopefully you will read this in the next month or so.
Oh, the Sakurajima cam is superior in research for me, thanks for that
kyle03/19/11 06:41
Hello Mr Fench
I find it amusing and interesting as well, a real mystery, oh by the way, the lighting is a bit wrong as well, it is about an hour later than Jacksonville (Fla) so places it a bit farther west than Jacksonville , I took a shot at it , as the lighting is about right for Oklahoma, and there are sizable hills and a couple mountains as as well there, once the haze cleared and there was a mountain in the distance, hahahaa as I said a real mystery, perhaps the IP is faked, hmmm if that's the case, then what in the world would be the reason??? hahaha very interesting. I was using a strait line for my estimation, as it could be farther north, the lighting places in along the New Madrid line, or there about. Maybe another Jacksonville, as there are many towns called that along the Eastern area of the US.
The IP must have been miss-typed as the location of the IP is off shore here hahahaha
You take care, I promise later to check all the Jackson , and Jacksonville locations ad see if the Time line matches.
Have a great day

Hey, don't just guess! There are plenty of hills, up to 300ft in Northern California. The IP number for this cam places it around Yulee, just north of Jacksonville. There are a number of RC clubs in that area, and I find it quite likely to be around there. Around Yulee Heights might be a good bet? Anyway, after some research, I couldn't find the exact place either.
kyle03/06/11 22:27
I need to check my spelling closer hhahahahahah that was Arkansas
kyle03/05/11 21:23
THis could be Arkansas as well, light is right for Western Arkansaw, even Missouri. Wish someone would enlighten me
kyle03/04/11 23:56
Wow, the light is just right, I see mountains in the back ground, hahaha not Forida for a fact
