Thanks SoCalGal! So the 101 is interstate and the costal road is Hwy. 1 and has it always been that way?
I drove that costal strech several years ago and thought it was the 101. Does the I 101 run in spots next to the coast? Thanks again.

Hi Debbie. The road barely visible on the bottom of the webcam ISNT the 101 freeway, but PCH, (Pacific Coast Highway) or otherwise known as Highway 1. A beautiful highway that goes the length of the California coast. This cam is right next to Leo Carillo Beach, a pay beach area. The foreground has the beautiful cut out of the mountain known as Pt. Mugu. If you continue north past the rock, you come to the city of Oxnard. South of the rock is Leo Carillo Beach and if you continue a little bit more...Malibu.
