N Q, yes I saw the guys with the Valentines. Looked like everyone was having fun. I didn't see the hay wagon. I bet that would have been fun.

After I made the earlier post I saw a hay wagon being pulled by 2 horses which would be a fun ride especially today because I think they're up in the 30's which is a heat wave for the midwest !

N Q, I've looked at this cam a lot of times and never seen so many cars. Usually 2 or 3 at most.

I wonder if they have an ice fishing contest going on today because there's really alot of fishermen out there today.

Devils Lake is a beautiful place to live. Its my hometown and my favortie small town in America. :)

Given America's propensity toward Puritanism, I'm surprised this place hasn't been re-named "Naughty Being's Lake."  ;-P

N Q, nice link. I would NOT like those temperatures!  I don't mind a frost but that's ridiculous.  :)

Jules, "resort" makes me think of holiday destinations, not living there in this weather.

MD then you wouldn't of enjoyed waking up here this morning, our temp was -10 with -25 windchills. It's not at all enjoyable going out in it. It's not suppose to get above zero till thursday :(

Hi N Q and Jules. -50 sounds awful to me. I should think the fish get frozen as soon as they come out of the water, no need for a freezer!

I think it looks lovely to see such a wide open space but I don't think I'd like to live there. It doesn't look as though people DO live there.

I think the name says it all - I don't think I'd like to live anywhere where the name began with "Devil's" ... as it probably had more cons than pros.

Right now they have around -50 windchills.

The dark rectangle looking spots in the distance are ice fishing houses.

Somewhere under the snow there's a road. I've just seen 2 vehicles go by.
