You just beat me to it!!!!! I got carried away reading about other floods in Pueblo.  There have been many but the flood of 1921 was the worst.

Mira Bilis 04/18/15 21:38

Hi Kyle!  :)  Is this what you're talking about?  http://pubs.usgs.gov/wsp/0487/report.pdf

kyle 04/18/15 20:39

some FYI, if you look slightly to the left of center, youll see a building with a discoloration toward the bottom, that is the water line of the 1920 flood, youll see that its about over the second story window in the more front buildings.

I tried to find out about the old train that beat the flood to town back then, blowing its whisle, what happened to it?, as the flood washed away most of the rail yards. A loss of life that was terrible as the whole east side went under, mules were found in trees months later.

I would imagine some of the photos are still available by the historical folks there should anyone want to see the damage it did. A dam gave way is the cause. the corp of engineers built a levy all the way through town afterward.

Historical fact has a way of being rather blunt on errors by so-called experts.

A little FYI also is the Frying Pan Arkansas project flooded a large bone yard of Mastodon and old style of Buffilo that was here way back, I moved there before the FP-Arc project was completed, and found quite a few bones sticking out of the creek beds.  I tried to let them know about it, and was rebffed rather sternly back then because of the Federal money that was building it, oh, I was not the only one who made them aware, but progress won out.

Lots of tales like that around the US, you just have to chat with the older locals to find out (Sometimes)

All be well

Yw Kyle, lol, I do what I can.

kyle 10/30/14 23:16

Thanks Carol, for some reason missed that link, Used to live there. Pueblo is not much of a Tourist town, though they always try and garner some, even have a nice large Airplane museum out at the airport, which cost the local tax payers a lot, things like the river Walk, it costs a lot, and pueblo is not a rich town, not any more since the Steel Mill shut down, 9h they have some activity there, but nothing like it used to be when they didnt need tourists to aide the coffers. Hey, a long way from a New Car in every grage to used rusty types that sit in peoples back yards, broken.

Detriot has nothing on this place.

In any case still have family there.

Thanks again for the link kiddo, have a nice day.

patriotic, so not those kids

kyle 06/23/14 02:46

trying to type too fast, sorry, missing letters and adding ones hahaahah

Meant to say money money, and Ill go that route, got lots of things I can sell if I choose, have had to work on the quiet for a long time, developed a few instruments over time, maybe best to let the kids play with them hahaha

Be well kid

kyle 06/23/14 02:42

Ok, ok, but only one time to say I didnt exaggerate about the written language, nor about the Necklace, and things to work on when time, got a break on the funny water, and though can duplicate it, it is too hard to contain, so testing is nearly out of the question, wanted to see if could harness the energy in it, if cant, not interested, let you know somewhere down the road hahahah

Got way too many irons in the fire right now, and dont want a super complicated lab setting. I feel no need to prove it, one way or another hahahahaah

Im getting older and things dont seem that interesting to me as it once was.  Money mo0ney, makes the world go around, likely Ill go that routh , get a few dollars and seee what I have planed to see for a lot of years, make the wife happy too

hahaha now I think back on it, I tend to look way closer at doing around Pueblo, many strange things happen there. Hahaha just look close under the bridges in the picture,. enlarge it at times, and watch the folks that gather there, most likely Bangers.

Or Fishermen trying in the shallow water of the dike area.  Back in the 20s they had a flood that wiped out the lower east side of town, you can still see the water marks up the walls 20 feet above your head

MD 12/03/13 22:20

Come back Kyle. You cracked me up on this cam!

kyle 07/19/13 02:27

hey, I was talking about the water tower on the building, hahaha not the real flag, amusing , i didnt see it , the flag because of the darkness

kyle 07/08/13 02:42

OH, if it turns into a flag later, hahaha let me know, its moving rather a lot like a flag more and more, but saw it up close on magnification , its not a flag .   The pixel movement is getting stronger and stronger, at times it disappears totally now as it darkens. just a FYI

kyle 07/08/13 02:37

BTW, that is a water tower on that building, not a flag, not sure why it looks like its moving hahahaha

Im pleased they are showing my old stomping grounds, still have children here, if you watch , if they havent gotten the little issue solved yet, you might see gunfire along the River Walk, it was that way there when I left, hopefully the Gang issue is resolved, The 13ers are hard to dislodge, BUT.

This area seems a meeting place where gangs square off, but one thing the 13ers have done, is persuade most of the gangs to move away, not too bad considering how it was some years ago.  A note, the 13ers generally dont bother the Civilians, they have a grander plan. If you want to klnow more, check out the CIA file on MS13, facinating, even the reason they came here to the US, interesting read.

kyle 06/17/13 23:56

They are closing in on the culprit who started this horror, they have one of the best forensic labs in the country dedicated just to this sort of Eco-terrorism

kyle 06/13/13 23:54

The fires up north in Colorado Springs are going to harm a lot of folks, many move to this area to get better air, high and rare, , like much of the State, the shame is this is one of the worse wild fires on recorded history for this area. Colo Springs is 35 miles north of Pueblo, they will get their share of smoke, considering the size of this monster.

I fear for those i know there

kyle 05/24/13 18:00

I see on the screen a dash of dust, ever present there, and a dab of fingerprints, they should not have done that, I wasnt goin to stick around hahahahahaa  (Dust and Static is ever present there)  I simply got angry for a moment at the lax attitude they have to protect us nothing else, they read too much in my words. Pl,ease clean the lens , please

kyle 05/24/13 17:57

I sometimes tell uncomfortable truths, and have to chastize myself for diarea of the mouth, as i take the recipiant to the brink, must stop that,

kyle 05/24/13 17:55

ah, reprisal is a "get ya later" thing ever present in todays setting, all know it, we wont be bothered a bit kid, no one would dare

kyle 05/24/13 17:52

Well,I simply dont know in what direction truth and payback for it, is coming in hahahaha.  Hmm that sounds strange hahahaahha  Truth will scare the heck out of anyone.  Back at the farm here, should you want a copy of the face, before or afterward, let me know. Not to worry, no one would suspect it not is what it seems.   Likely seeing the dented cameo type thing, will give a better understanding, and the reerected face, would make you understand what i see better, and see why a long ago violence caused it, tearing it off the wrist of that long ago lady. Actually quite a treasure, and why i was thinking about a private auction to let a collector have it, decidedly a "one of a kind"  As far as credit, a super valuable asset, they are not about to allow someone to take credit for it outside of their agency, but money talks a truth they cannot ignore, half would get their juices running,l to make money and not blab it all over the world, would make them snuggly happy.

MD 05/24/13 17:50

Most people these days are apathetic. It's a case of shrugging the shoulders, saying "But what can WE do about it?" then changing the subject. No one wants to stand up and be counted for fear of reprisal.
