N Q, thanks for that. Makes good sense. The lady looked quite sprightly but I suppose she could have run out of steam before getting very far. And obviously, I couldn't see if she had a permit or not.

There are people who don't have an outward physical disability that use handicap parking. I have a sister-in-law with COPD who can only walk short distances, so she has a handicap parking permit.

As long as the car park in that space has an handicap permit then one must assume they were granted that permit for a reason -- on the otherhand I see cars parked in those spots without the a permit way too often.

It's usually for mobility reasons. And, should people with mental illness be driving?

Another parking lot I'm seeing for the first time! I just watched a lady park in a disabled bay and she seemed as fit as a fiddle. They do that in the UK, just so they can park nearer to their objective.
