Mira Bilis, I've put that in my diary. It makes me wonder how many other things are still to be discovered. I love anything like that. The moors haven't changed for thousands of years. Dartmoor National Park is a no build area so it will stay as it is for ever, hopefully.

A BBC film about the extraordinary archaeological finds on White Horse Hill. The programme features reconstructions of how some of the beautiful objects found in the Bronze Age burial cist were made. Some of the filming was done outside the roundhouse at Lower Merripit Farm.

N Q, that's the sort of views I have from my windows. It IS beautiful. We only need a small amount of snowfall and we get cut off from civilization. The rock formations are Tors. The nearest one to me is Hey Tor.

MD that's beautiful countryside ! and some of those rock formations are unbelievable. Another place for my bucket list to visit when I win the lottery :)

Mira Bilis that was a lovely piece of music, very evocative. I just came across an article about a 4,000 year old tomb that they've just found on Dartmoor. It hold perfectly preserved furs, jewels  etc.

N Q, I'm near the top of a hill that's surrounded by hills. It's often windy but my hatches are battened down! At the moment the wind is whistling round. Thank goodness I had new windows in November. There are trees bending over but fortunately they spring back. I'm sure there will be some damage in the area but I have no worries.

Mira Bilis, we've had rain and gale force winds all day. They reckon that by tonight we will have had a month's rainfall in a day. It's unbelievable and they say to expect the same again tomorrow. But............ I wouldn't rule out a hose pipe ban in the summer, we're probably getting the wrong sort of rain!

Looked pretty squally here judging by the earlier stills.
