You're right Sue.  Don't take any notice of the maps on Opentopia  - most of them don't directly relate to the webcams - they simply refer to the location of the webcam's internet provider HQ.  

We went on a family holiday to Playacar a few years back .... Xel-Ha was right down the coast from where we were staying.  Beautiful area. :-)
