Sounds like you have the best of both worlds, living near to the border. 24 years since you last visited your cousins.... don't lose touch like I did. It IS quite sad really, because I wouldn't recognize my cousins if they were standing next to me. Happily I'm not one to dwell on things I can't change. :))

That's sad MD.  I also have cousins in Canada, on my mother's side, living in Kincardine by Lake Huron and Thorold near Lake Ontario. - my last visit to see them was back in 1989.  Beautiful area.  I have very fond memories of my trip there, especially a visit to Toronto, going up to the top of the CN Tower and looking down on the city - amazing!  I love Canada and I'm fortunate that we now live so close to the border that we can make regular trips over there.  :)

Hi Mira Bilis. Thanks to you, I've just been for a trip down memory lane. My grandparents and 2 of their daughters emigrated to Canada in the 50's. Their sister, my mother, stayed in the UK. One daughter, my aunt Patricia, had 3 children at the time she emigrated. I last saw my cousins when they were about 18 months, 2 and a half and 4 years old. The eldest drowned in a lake not long after they arrived in Canada. The 2 surviving children are Paula and Adrian and would now be in their 60's, probably grandparents themselves. I never saw my cousins again and lost touch with them many years ago. The last address I had was Tofield Crescent, Rexdale. I've just looked at it on Google Earth. Strange to think I have more relatives in Canada than I have in the UK.

It's a pity this cam is not working properly - Toronto is a great city.  :)
