It's 5:30 p.m. there...dark...and there appears to be some sort of photo shoot going on around the fountain.  Lights all set up, people scurrying around.

Someone asked about the castle.  It looks like it is Gruyere castle.  http://www.myswitzerland.com/en-us/gruyere-castle.html

MD, 100 days of snow?  How depressing!  We were also predicted to have a much harder winter here...Indiana, US....colder than normal and more snow.  So far it is coming true.  We've been having January temps for the past week + but I see that we are to get into the 60's F by end of next week.  I know it won't last but I plan to go outside and enjoy it for as long as it will last.  That snow is just waiting to bury us.

I think it looks beautiful. In the last few days it's been forecast that the UK might get 100 days of snowfall. My cupboards are full! I'll stay indoors and see the beauty of it, through my windows.  :))

They must have had a big snowfall last night.  It's beautiful...and I"m glad it's over there and not here!

Beautiful at dusk with all the Christmas lights on.

I looked up Fribourg on Google and Wikipedia, no mention of a castle. In France, we once visited someone living in Rue de Chateau (Castle Street.) The "chateau" turned out to be a water tower!

What is the name of the Castle in the background?
