Homely, it sounds better and better. You work very hard. It's good to hear that you take such lovely vacations to recharge your batteries.

We stayed on a boat and tendered in and out... but not one of the gazillion dollar yachts!

Homely, that sounds lovely. I just have to ask.... you walked round from right to left... did you stay there or did you come back by other means?  :D

How on earth have I missed this one??? Beautiful! We were just there in March, and walked all the way around this harbor from right to left. This is the cleanest, most well run island I've seen in the Caribbean. And I got to practice my French!

While we were there, they were having a huge regatta with million dollar yachts. The tall hill at the far left that is flat on the top is now a police station, but in the 17th century it was a fort. It's closed to the public usually, but the opened it up and let us all walk up there and watch the races from that high point. It was wonderful.

I came here for some sunshine and it's cloudy! Never mind, the view is beautiful.

My father became ill and it was a 2,000 miles round trip to visit him. My stepmom would ring to say he was in hospital, we'd get there and he'd say "I MUST be ill if you've come all this way." It happened several times and I decided I wanted to come back to be nearer. My husband didn't want to move so he stayed in the South of France. My father eventually died but by then I was settled in the UK.
