Mira Bilis, your trees would look wonderful with a carpet of bluebells. As for elderflowers, as well as cordial you can make a liqueur. An elderly friend, who will be 90 on Monday, makes all sorts of things with hedgerow fruits and berries. A thimbleful of her sloe gin delivers a knockout punch. I'd imagine elderflower hooch would be amazing!!! LOL

Fabulous MD!! One of my favourite sights was a carpet of bluebells. :D Unfortunately where I am now, there are no bluebells ... but at the moment our wood is bursting with elderflower blossoms ... might have to do some harvesting and make cordial. ;)

By eck it's snowing. I've been down the country lanes this morning and it was beautiful. Squillions of bluebells are open, like a lush blue carpet. We seem to be more advanced this year, maybe because this area didn't get any snow and very few frosts.
