They put up some of their Christmas decorations, but hopefully they only partially finished with the decorations. Last year they had a lot of green garland around this porch.

Oops ... didn't click the link! *blush* I'm also looking up a "mystery" yellow flower that bloomed early this morning ...

Hi Mira Bilis, way back at 14.53, I put a link to the flowers. What is your favourite flavour of ice cream? I have until 23.46 to add to my online order. LOL

We have some of those flowers blooming too at the moment ... around here they call them black-eyed susans. I seem to recall my parents called them black-eyed susies back in England. :)
There was a rumble of thunder here earlier and a brief rain shower ... I'm keeping my fingers crossed there's more to come ... it's certainly very cloudy and muggy at the moment.

The prog also said that approx 5,000 deaths a year in the US were caused by accidental gun shots.

And several of the cases took place in Texas.

Trix, a couple of weeks ago I watched a prog about people in the US getting their children to use weapons. One girl, aged 4, fired a rifle and it recoiled, hitting her in the face. The proud parents thought it was funny. Another girl had it drummed into her that her father had paid a lot of money "and you will win this championship." She was in tears at the time. Sadly, a boy, not yet 9, had gone out with his rifle and was missing. They searched for a day or so and found him shot through his forehead. They reasoned that he'd dropped the rifle and it had gone off. I didn't watch all of the prog, I wanted to thump the parents.

Trix.... a ball of sunshine describes them perfectly. I saw the swing chair but I'd rather have a rocker, more secure. LOL

A comfy rocking chair would be nice on this porch.

Trix, I love them. I never knew how rapidly they spread. I put a small clump in my garden, years ago and they went berserk. So cheerful to look at. And I love sunflowers.
