I can hardly choose from among them, they all look so nice. This part of North Carolina is so beautiful, and really popular for summer vacations. When the kids were really young, we took them to Lake Lure, southwest of there, and it was wonderful.

Homely you put the last nail in the casket on this one--great detective work !!
I really like the look of the outside of the one rustic cabin that looked like they uses trees for the porch posts. Actually the whole place looks beautiful but the rustic cabin is the one I'ld like to stay in :)

Found it! This cam is in Cashiers, North Carolina - in the far north western corner of the state, up in the mountains. The cam is hosted by a local hotel, and here's their site. Follow their links to the cam:

Well judging from the weather reports on WN today, there certainly are some freakish wintery conditions in the south, where they are so unused to snow that it's caused major gridlocks on the roads. Some amazing photos being shown at the moment ... http://www.weathernationtv.com/OnTV
I think the clock on the cam is wrong in any event. :-)

Sounds feasible. I just watched a lady make that single trail of footprints on virgin snow.

The ip# on this one is 24.49.183.54
I get 2 totally different locations for that ip#. One is Seattle and the other is North Carolina and because the east coast is light now and the sun hasn't come up yet on the west coast I'm going with this cam being in N Carolina :)

What a beautiful view, I wonder where this is at ?
It looks like park land with the benches and stares going down to a rustic looking building.
2 people just went by in a paddle boat and now a couple more in a canoe.
