Keep an eye on this cam and any others in the western US in the next few days. We are having an arctic freeze on everything west of the Mississipi river, and a number of states are expected to receive more than two feet of snow with these freezing temperatures. There are even freeze warnings in places like Las Vegas. In Great Falls, Montana, their temps are supposed to drop as low as -15F, which is pretty bitter.
The town itself is along the old rail line, which is still used. The area had mining in the late 1800s, but its claim to fame is the Glenwood Hot Springs, and a significant resort built up there at the beginning of the 20th century. It's still there today, and you drive right past it if you are on the way to ski up at Aspen or Snowmass, which are about an hour or so down the road from Glenwood. Here is a link to the webcam of the hot spring pools: http://www.hotspringspool.com/general/webcam

Hi y'old rapscallion! What the heck are you wittering on about??? What have ghosts got to do with this cam? I love it when you go off on a tangent!!!! :))

kyle07/18/13 19:33

Grin, grin MD, Maybe, like once I had an effect," before" it could be stopped, if i can impress a knowledgable person into seeing another aspect of science, I'll go for it.
Sigh, they have erased my name from all areas of science, some are active to make sure I dont have an effect on the young minds being fed silliness at times, only staid and acceptable teachings, no matter if right or wrong, only dont make waves to change it.

Okay, I think i will make a link to this page to see if ghosts or phenomenon, there are quite a few reasons for wild phenomenon, some like purple lightening is right before a quake, or super pressure down below. Colorado has quite a few places where metals are abundant, hence conductors of electrical activity.... Some cams are sensitive to electrical activity one cant see with normal eyes, hey might get a hit, like the Rods a particular scientist photographed accidentally, and was nearly blackballed for telling about it, he might have been eventually Blackballed, as he upset the norm considerably. Since they had no explanation other than his, once the other scientist saw what the higher academics were doing, no one would attempt to duplicate it, none would take the chance of being pushed out of the sciences. Fascinating way to run a respected quarter of educational areas.
I dont have a degree through the Academic circles, but have some knowledge of part of the sciences, and AM already blackballed hahahaha so dont matter
