Hi Dona, I love those little stalls. Usually full of things I'd never buy but once in a while it's possible to spot something I've just GOT to have!

A soggy day in Waterford ... but I wish all the OT cams were this clear.  :)

The map is of Kansas and the view is New York, 1800 miles or so apart.

Obviously not much foot traffic today ... the snow looks pristine.

Cool!  Thanks Homely!  (and MD!)  :-D

Mira Bilis, did you see Homely's link?  Some lovely pictures.

Mira Bilis 01/04/14 16:56

Wonderfully clear camera view ... I wish they were all like that.  :-)

Hi Homely, thanks for the link. The beauty of photos is that they are usually taken on a sunny day. I liked the first one the best, with all those beautiful leaves changing colour. And the mini car convention in the street.

One of the pictures shows some half wine-barrels filled with flowers. That took me back to when we first went to live in France. We had a lot of those half barrels in the barn and I had a couple in my garden. It happened  that the flowers had died back and I had some potatoes that had seen better days. I put the potatoes in a tub and covered them with soil. My neighbours face was a picture when she saw them growing. I think she formed the opinion that ALL English people grow potatoes in tubs!

Speaking of Waterfords, here is a really lovely and well preserved village that might interest you, MD. No cams, but some good pictures and interesting history.

I used to do it for a living but this is much more fun!

Good job, MD. It is most definately another Waterford site. I love this angle, you can see the welcome center much better. Thanks, its nice to have another detective on the job. lol

MD 08/27/13 17:35

Hi Janet.

It'll be worth keeping an eye on this place.  I've just been doing a bit of detective work myself and I've found out that in September they hold a 3 day tugboat festival and craft fare. I've put a link that I'm sure is this place but from the opposite direction.

I love this camera. After a little detective work I found the website for Waterford, NY. They have this same camera there, full page. Absolutely beautiful. These are the canals of New York State, famous for the "Waterford Flight", the highest set of lift locks in the world. It is not far from the famous Saratoga Race Track. If you go to the website there is an even nicer view of the canal with all the boats that are docked there. Enjoy!!
