Mira ...... I've just found flights to Reykjavik from Bristol with Easyjet .... £47.49 but they are more expensive later in the year. Icelandair have their own hotels which look very reasonably priced ...... tempting thought.

Some of the latest deals look good ... http://www.icelandair.us/vacations/category/iceland-northern-lights/
It's finally stopped raining here, but I'm not sure for how long.

Hi Mira ..... I would certainly head for Iceland .... much further north. I did look at the prices last year and it's not very expensive. The jigsaw was lovely ....... nothing distinctive to pick out .... apart from the sun. :D
I used to watch Ice Road Truckers ... always entertaining. You'd probably be better off going to Iceland to see the Northern Lights ... not so far for you, plus some good deals with Icelandair.

Mira ... Ice Road Truckers is filmed in northern Canada and Alaska. This episode was the last of the season .... the ice is thawing so I guess it was filmed last year because I'm thinking it's too early for a thaw this year. I'd really love to see the lights ...... I'll stick it on my bucket list. :D
I'll enjoy doing that jigsaw tomorrow afternoon ..... I have a busy morning planned. I actually choose sunset jigsaws ..... restful subject matter.
Mira Bilis02/16/16 00:47
One of these days I might even see them here ... if it ever stops raining.
I think the sound of rain is very relaxing as long as I'm indoors. That's a nice picture for background.
Our forecast is for extremely cold weather but compared with Trix's weather - ours is warm. All things are relative.
Just watching Ice Road Truckers. They showed the Northern Lights. Spectacular.

I'm listening to this ... it just about sums up the rainy ambience here today ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SynzKC4fWp0

About 10 years ago I talked BJ into going through some boxes that she hadn't unpacked. I said that if she hadn't even looked at them in 6yrs then they couldn't be that special. She let me pack box after box into the car until there was no space left. I swear she was in tears as I drove them away. When I came back she said she was never going to part with another book. Thankfully she's stopped buying them. :D

I can totally relate to BJ. Our walls are covered in floor to ceiling bookshelves, although many of them are hubby's antiquarian books, as I only brought a few over with me from the UK originally. I've collected more since then though ... but we do also donate some back to the library or Goodwill occasionally.

Mira .... that's a pretty picture of the Northern Lights. Thank you.
I used to read far more than I do now but BJ has thousands .... and I mean thousands .... of books. When she came to live with us in France - I paid Burke Brothers removals a small fortune to deliver her books to the foothills of the Pyrenees. A year later she went back to the UK and her books had to go too ...... with Burke Brothers. I tried to point out that she could donate them to charity and then replace them by going to car boot sales and charity shops but she couldn't be swayed. :D

That was quick MD! That's one shop I would love to visit ... I'm a total bookworm. That blossom you saw might have been almond, they bloom earlier than cherry trees.

Mira ..... of all the puzzles you've put on here for me ..... and everyone else ...... I haven't come across any of them on Jigsaw Planet. This was another good choice. Ta.
Hi Mira ..... nope ..... that's a new jigsaw to me and it looks lovely. I enjoy it when you choose them .... I tend to go for the same styles all the time and I don't mind doing the same puzzle twice. I think I'm addicted to them. :D
Our weather is beautiful at the moment ..... clear blue skies and sunshine. I went out earlier because it was too good to stay indoors. I saw blossom on several trees but they were too far away to identify .... apart from the blossom being white.

MD, did I share this jigsaw before? http://www.jigsawplanet.com/?rc=play&pid=3da9cc251702 I'm starting to lose track of them.

Mira ..... what a beautiful place. I used to love walking along the beach.
And thanks for the jigsaw. I shall really enjoy doing that.
Clallam Bay beach is a mix of sand and pebbles, pretty much like most of the shoreline along the Strait ... http://www.highway112.org/gallery.asp
Here's a jigsaw using another photo of the area at the top of my road ... http://www.jigsawplanet.com/?rc=play&pid=2909be05f6d2
