Hi Heisenberg..... you'll find that most of the maps need changing!  :))

Fog worthy of the setting for Bram Stoker's book.  ;)

Homely, Spring has definitely sprung. On another cam I mentioned how the new lambs are doing funny little jigs and flowers are open everywhere. And as you can see on this cam, sunshine, and we have it too.

Wow! Jules, thanks for the info!! Yes, MD.....You were exactly right!

Hi Jules, nice link. The interactive map is very good.

Hi Hazel, I was right about this road leading to the other camera.

jules 08/16/13 10:52

There is a steep curving road to the bottom of the cliff called the Khyber Pass which leads to the Harbour where the second Whitby camera is.

jules 08/16/13 10:47

Sorry "sharp right" at the end of the road - a sharp left will take you over the cliff! (I've always been a bit dyslexic!)

jules 08/16/13 10:45

This is the North Promenade in Whitby, you can use google maps to find it, If you type in 12 North Promenade, Whitby you should be near the camera angle. If you travel down the road, a steep cliff is on your left with walkways up and down the side. Travelling to the very end of the road before the sharp left you can see the abbey across the river mouth, and the famous whale jaw bones, overlooking the harbour. This website gives further info re whale bones. http://www.thewhitbyseagull.co.uk/whitby_uk_whale_bone_arch.html

Thanks MD, I started following that one the other day. I would love to visit this street one day!

MD 08/15/13 14:00

They could be walking to here:

I wonder what else is on this street? Where are they walking from and walking to?

Hazel Jones 08/11/13 15:41

Looks like a nice place to live. People always walking. Hustling and bustling!
