i love going through the shops at the beach!

MD 03/22/15 14:22

It is a pretty place. It gets a bit too busy for me in the summer months ... too many holiday-makers. There are some really low price grocery stores so I can shop and visit the beach.  :)

MD...i wiki'd it....looks lovely!!!!

MD 03/22/15 13:54

Trix ... this place is near me. I just wished that the last pictures didn't have that big vehicle in the way. I was sorry when the cam disappeared. I would look at this cam in a morning and if the weather looked fine .... I'd go there.

David Garraway, thank you. Just watched Countryfile. I don't know if you watched it but I had my first informal driving lessons on one of the disused camps. There were narrow concrete roads, I was about 12. My father had been to a car auction and came home with an old Lanchester car that had cost him £25. I still remember my mother's hysterics! It had running boards and the spare wheel was on the side. It looked like something from the Al Capone era. I still have photographs of it. I had an enjoyable trip down memory lane. Thanks again.

This is my nearest web cam. The weathermen forecast a terrific storm for us, Sunday and Monday. It's pouring with rain so I think they actually got it right, sadly.   :(

Hi:

You are right, computers are very scarey, I was amazed how fast you got to my front door and saw my neighborhood, is it anything like your neighborhood ?

I got up early and cut a load of wood, getting ready for winter. The winters are very cold and viscious here sometimes it gets -30 c with 80 inches of snow,so I burn a lot of wood every winter. a post card would be nice

( gotofsnoca. ) it has less traffic, OK ?  I enjoy our chats

talk to you soon

Hi Ted. Yes, I live in one of the towns you mention. I AM familiar with Google Earth. Indeed, I've been to your front door! I hope you observe the 20mph limit as you drive past the school. These computers are scary things.  I was amazed at how easy it was to find you. As an ex policewoman (or any other woman) I wouldn't feel happy to give more information on here, not because of you but there are some strange people about.

I could send you a postcard!  :))

owen wilson 09/03/13 14:30

I forgot to mention that I saw street views of each of these towns on Google Earth

Good morning:

9 am here. I went to the program google earth and found Dartmoor National Park, and saw many small towns south of the park, Princetown,Yelverton, Ivy Bridge, Ashburton, and Tavistock etc, etc.

do you live near any of the towns that I mentioned ? oor am i getting too personal ?

I am just interested in other parts of the world.

My daughter , the one that lives in Minneapolis, was in London a few years ago to run in the London Marathon, she also went to Paris and Belguim. She works for Oracle and had the chance to transfer to London, she thought long and hard about it and decided to stay in Minneapolis.

I don't know if you are familiar with Google Earth, but you can enter any address and it wil;l take you to the fron door of that address, any place in the world,

Hi Dona. I visited here today.

MD 07/08/13 16:06

Hi Homely.  I read the comments on The Bench from the first one. I thought  the name "Homely" should belong to the fairer sex but most surely Kyle was convinced you were male. I really did LOL when you announced to the contrary!

And a happy Monday to you too.  The weather is beautiful in the UK.  I actually have all of my windows open to create a cooling breeze. Might last several days and then back to the brolly.

Homely 07/08/13 15:33

Hi, all - Nope, Kyle, no fooling, I really am an attorney. Although I seem to recall that everyone formerly assumed me to be a male!

Happy Monday, everyone!

Hi Kyle. If you look, our messages came in at the same time. My lol was to Zedyer, I didn't see your comment until this morning. Just a word, what makes you think Homely fooled you?  There is no doubt in my mind whatsoever..... Homely works in court.

I write hello many times ,

Well, I think I should be a bit taken aback by the revelations hahahaha.  Now I know that our group is secure hahahahaha.

Homely I apologize to your husband, I naturally flirt, bad habit I suppose., I am guilty of it for both you girls, please forgive 0k.

I am a police advocate, and once upon a time I was about to join the force, however since I have a crippled hand, only desk jobs were available to me so I looked else where, that position is looked down upon by the rank and file as a vocation, at least it was where I was at.

Maybe in another life hahahahaha

I am pleased, I knew MD used to be, but my dear Homely, you fooled me into believing you were a Barrister, Bad girl, bad bad hahahahahahahaahahahahaha.

And our friend "Z" , you fooled me as well,  I pick up on variations of intent quite well most times until I get to know the person, then it no longer matters as we become friends or good acquaintances

I slid the text down to hide this, catch you all later on , bye

MD 07/07/13 16:38

Hi Homely. I did a spell in the collator's office when I was in the police force. With Zedyer it was very easy because we live not too far apart.  Plus I'm blessed with a pretty good memory. My husband said I had a mind like a steel trap but I don't think he meant it as a compliment!  :))

Homely 07/07/13 16:09

MD, I want to know what kind of a system you are using to keep track of all this info! I think I need to incorporate it into my work so my secretary never loses anything again ;-)

MD 07/07/13 16:06

Did I pass?  :>
