My parents had a static and moved onto a motorhome. It gives you much more freedom and you can always go back to southwest Scotland if you want to. So exciting.... you can go anywhere!

Hi MD, I'm in southwest Scotland, in Dumfries and Galloway at Sandhead. The weather has been absolutely beautiful and the rain bypassed us. Going to sell the static, as we've now got a small motorcaravan so that we can take to the road and see different places, esp. the rest of Scotland. It's a bitter sweet time, as we've loved it here so much, but we're excited to be going new places for holidays.

Hi Jules. Not heard from you for ages. I hope you are enjoying yourself and that the rain has eased. Poor Scotland has had a drenching!

I'm in Scotland now, but sadly, the deer near here are very shy. It looks Highlandish. A really nice webcam!
MD09/03/13 16:55
Scary indeed. Personally, I only swarm for chocolate!
nychick09/03/13 15:44
Where I live we have a nature preserve with hundreds of deer. They will swarm you if they think you got something to feed them..Scary to me..
MD09/03/13 15:36
If they did that in the Midlands they'd end up on a plate!
Jimmy Day09/03/13 15:06
They are very tame as when viewing on Sunday they were running up to people and any cars that stopped.
MD09/03/13 14:28
I can't believe how tame the deer are!!! When I lived in the Midlands we had deer on Cannock Chase but they ran like the wind when people appeared.
I think that phone code clinches it....... it IS Scotland. And beautiful.
Jimmy Day09/03/13 14:06
A van passed by close to the camera with telephone code 0141 which was a Glasgow code so it is definately Scotland.

I agree it's a very nice loation & it looks as though it may be Glencoe or somewhere in that region, there should be some good winter scenes soon.
MD09/01/13 15:39
Hi Jimmy, isn't it beautiful? I've just seen a fair bit of traffic on a road further away from the cam. I've only ever been as far as Gretna Green and that was was when my son ran away to get married but invited me anyway! Hospitality was very good.

The clues are looking good some Deer grazing and people stopped to take pictures first time Iv'e seen any life here.

Hi Jimmy. Good detective work! :))

This must be somewhere in the highlands of Scotland as just done a weather check and it is raining there at the moment according to the map.

Such a peaceful view. It reminds me of a book I read years ago called The Witching Stone by Hugo McEwen, which was set in the Glencoe area. :)
What a lovely looking hotel, and family run.
