Shinmoedake is nothng compared to Sakurajima, but then not many Volcanoes compare to Sakurajima. I was lucky to see it blast last year & caught several pics of it.

This volcano erupted in a big way this time last year. Nowadays we see light activity. The Google map is way off. Shinmoedake volcano in Kirishima is way down south in Kagoshima.
