Hello fellow cocooners....beautiful day here in the Northwest, but too quiet !   MD, start hitting that vitamin C(hocolat), like I need to remind you.  :) What we need is a new Randy song for a good laugh.  In the meantime, MD, the eggs are supposed to hatch soon in the hummer's ...

Hi Silver Squirrel .....  I'm doing the same.  I woke up this morning with a cough and the sniffles but no temperature.  The last person I came into contact with was my Tesco delivery man last Thursday. I've taken a hot blackcurrant drink with paracetamol and extra vitamin C and ...

Hi ladies.  I'm self isolating.  Husband working from home full time until the insanity subsides.   He may brave a Costco trip tomorrow.  I've loaded him up with hand sanitizer and surgical masks that I've had since I volunteered at a hospital a year or so ago.  This madness has ...

When Trix was alive I used to check Opentopia every 15 minutes to see if she'd commented.  Nowadays I've become very haphazard. Some days I don't even look in at all.   I check her obit every day to see if there's any news.   I'm glad she didn't live to witness this virus.  She w...

I think of her so often....wonder what she would've had to say about all this virus madness.  It's typical of New England to delay burials until spring and with this situation, could be quite a while. I went out and stocked up yesterday and am now officially self-isolated.  It ac...

Trix would have been eating corned beef and cabbage today.  Her hubby thought he was of Irish descent until his DNA test proved he had no Irish blood at all.  But ..... they continued with the St Patrick's Day feast because they loved corned beef and cabbage. I find it hard to be...

Well  ........  I've thought of something so trivial, in the scheme of things, but very important to me  ......  MY HAIR!!!!!!!  Every 6 weeks without fail - I get purpled.  The last couple of times, the hairdresser has added more peroxide so the purple has got brighter and brigh...

Keep staying well and in good spirits, all of you! Saw no evidence of illness onboard the ship, though we had only 132 guests out of a capacity of 170. Flew in and out of St. Maarten - that airport is still an unholy mess due to the hurricanes of 18 months ago. The island is rebo...

Hahaha!  I was talking to my hubby this afternoon. I have to admit I'd rather self isolate ON MY OWN. Son told me that his partner's 2 sons flew back from Barcelona yesterday ...... bear in mind the Oviso and everywhere is closed  ...... no temperature checks at the airport ........

I'm convinced there are more good people than bad in the world   ..... it's just that we hear more about the bad.  For every news article on bad things ..... 10 times as many good things will have happened but we don't get to read about them.   Son has just been on the phone givi...
