A good chef can earn big $$$ in a good establishment. Yes, it's hard to beat good Hungarian cooking.Many of my grandmother's recipes unfortunately went to the grave with her. We haven't been able to duplicate them.

Son's dad was the one who smacked son up the head (when son was in his 30's) for answering a pub quiz question. Son has nothing to do with him. And I'd just left my hubby so I coped on my own ..... as you will.

WOW!!! That is a massive plus. Being older and wiser ... and having seen it all before ... we know what the best course of action would be but it has to come from our kids. It's just hard to watch and wait. At the moment I'm waiting for a phone call from my son. Even now .... ...

I think she should try to get regular visiting times. In later life g-daughter may wonder why she didn't. And he could be saying things like "your mom isn't that bothered about seeing you." Your daughter is in the same situation that my son was in. They think they don't deserve...

I don't think it's permanent but daughter can go to court to get regular visiting times but...I think she is really down on herself and thinks she will get nothing...thats why I really want her to get her drivers license and a car so she can get a job and feel better about hersel...

It's such a blessing that she's happy at school. If not for that ... things good be pretty unbearable. Kids are resilient. She'll be ok but she won't forget ...... and I'm sure she won't forgive. I'm sure I've asked before (and forgotten) but what does your daughter have to do to...

I agree that there are things he is afraid she will say...she's always been very verbal about her thoughts but I think she is almost afraid of him, which is no way to live...and I think the same....just wait till she's older and see where she goes!!!

the last time I talked to him on the phone, we ended up in an argument...and when you call to speak with g-daughter, he puts it on speakerphone so he can hear everything or he makes noise in the background so we can't hear her!!!

Trix ... there's no doubt he is using her. I suspect daughter feels like you do ..... asking just ends up in defeat. If he loved g-daughter he would make her happy by letting her visit with you and daughter. I think our social services would try to get better arrangements for you...
