Friends of ours near Glasgow said they had flooding in their area but their house is up a hill, so that was lucky for them.

Thanks Southern Belle! You might also like to make a note on your calendar to go and see the re-make of "Point Break" ... apparently most of the extreme stunts were done by real stunt men, not CGI ...
