Trix .... I used to make tuna pie when I hadn't got much money. Thick parsley sauce, add peas and put into a casserole dish. Cover that with a good layer of tinned tuna, top with mashed potatoes and a sprinkling of parmesan. Bake until the top goes lightly brown and crisp. Serve ...

Trix ..... I've just eaten a mountain of tiny cocktail tomatoes! I used to make a tuna fish pie and we always had it with cole slaw. They go well together.

Mira .... I had to look up red alder. It sounds a useful tree for enriching the soil and I founds some kitchen doors that looked lovely ..... pretty grain. Our "Jenny" was only a small one but it was enough for our needs. Like an insurance policy ... it was good to know we had it...

MD....i'm sure your son will be fine....he has an RV....only people with plans on traveling have RV's :) i just called daughter....she is coming down with a scallop and haddock take-out dinner for us....can hardly wait!!!!

MD, our trees are a mixture of evergreen and deciduous ... mostly spruce, douglas fir, western hemlock and red alder. The logs make great firewood too. We do have a big backup generator but at the moment it needs some attention as it's not firing up properly.
