W_D ... looking at that photo of the volcano in that Japan Times article, I'm amazed that there are buildings at the foot of it. Aside from the personal risk, what must insurance be like for those who live or have businesses at the foot of an active volcano?

I work twice a week about 10km from the Sendai nuclear power plant. The rest is in the city. It's a lottery.
