Once you've clicked on Layers you then need to click on Map type and choose from the dropdown menu options (see my previous screengrab.) :)

Mira .... I never click on anything unless someone gives me a tip. I'm not at all confident .... I expect my laptop to bite me at any time. :D I've bookmarked that last link and maybe one day I'll actually experiment. :))

You can change the look by clicking on the 'Layers' button on the sidebar and clicking on the 'Map type' dropdown menu ... http://s1.postimg.org/wcf7tjtu7/Marine_Traffic_Layers.jpg I prefer to look at the 'Hybrid' view. The map has lots of different tools you can play with. :)
