Mira, that island is 100km south of Kagoshima City. It's still part of Kagoshima Prefecture. A huge surprise to see on the news... and a 9km high ash cloud? Amazing.
Regardless of how strange this person is, there has to be just a touch of narcissistic behaviour here. No matter of how full the screen is with her notes, there is always a small window to see her.

Actually, I think it's a pied wagtail ... they are often attracted to their own reflection in glass or mirrors. :)
