It's actually a lot more like Google Earth now, which I also use. I suspect that was their aim.

Mira .... I'm feeling much better about the new maps. I was able to find out that it's 81F right now where Syrsa lives ... and I found that info on the map page. Usually I'd have to google for a weather report. So maybe when google man can behave himself - I'll be a really happ...

MD, I switched my maps over to 'Lite Mode' to see what you are seeing. If you click on the lighting bolt button it should come up with a bubble saying "You're in Lite Mode - Switch back to full Maps." Click on it and it should switch you back to the normal new Google Maps. Her...

Mira ..... I didn't realise that nearly half of Americans live in earthquake risk zones. Boggling thought. This Nepal earthquake is just awful. All those poor people .... I mean the survivors. The suffering is over for the dead.
