I'm surprise that the fountain is still on here. They have had some below freezing temps here in the last week and I know up here in Wis they turn off all outdoor fountains before it gets that cold.

Hi NQ.... they must be pretty desperate for a smoke to suffer those temperatures! I've seen my neighbour stand in the rain to smoke. He's a new neighbour so I'll see if he stands outside when it's bitterly cold!! :)

Mira... I have an ashtray just in case but in 4 and a half years no-one has ever used it. Just recently there has been mention of banning smoking in public parks. If everyone stopped smoking (in the UK) the place would grind to a halt. The government would soon be poverty stricke...

MD I used to have neighbors-husband & wife that both smoke but they always smoked outside, even when it was -30 temps or raining hard. I understand them not wanting the smoke smell inside but at -30 I'ld just open a window and stand next to it so that the smoke went outside then ...
