If you zoom the picture you can see that those are definitely midges, especially when they get up close to the camera lens. It's about the right time of year for them too ... we had clouds of midges in our garden yesterday ... they rise up into the air, mate, then drop to the gr...

those aren't bugs ! one just flew by the cam really close and it was a large black bird with white stripes in the neck and head area. It look almost like a pileated woodpecker except without the red head feathers.

N Q.... sorry about that. Here's a compromise.... maybe it's heavenly in winter when it's hopefully too cold for insects. :D Trix... in my experience you can tell a man to eff off and he will. Doesn't work on insects. LOL!!

Glad it went down well Trix ... yes, sour cream works well added to the soup ... worcester sauce added to the beef and onions while they're frying is also good ... and we often have grated cheddar sprinkled on ours too. (The other very similar one I make is "American Chop Suey" ...

MD I was going to say this is my idea of what heaven is like but then you had to point out the insects---NOPE-there's no insects in heaven or atleast not in my heaven :)
