I think it's fireweed ... we've got loads of it around here, very pretty ... similar to rose bay willow herb in the UK. :)

Yeah, it's nice and cool, only 105 today, it was 112 about a week ago. Thank God for my swimming pool! This a great little town to live in, very rural, but lots of excitement "Over The Hump" in Las Vegas, about an hour away if you crave that sort of stuff.

Yes, check it out...I live very close to the Nevada/California border, close to the mountains. So cool! We are the Gateway to Death Valley, not somewhere you want to visit in the middle of summer!
