It does look as though the pier was longer once, judging by the old pilings still sticking out of the water. That picture you linked to could be what it used to look like before it got damaged during a storm perhaps. Still strange that there are no current photos of it ... mayb...

It's definitely NOT that pier. I Googled "North Carolina's Ocean Piers" and this one doesn't seem to be included.

I think that's a normal size lighthouse, that's just a giant alien boat.We all know that Mars has tiny aliens, but I heard Jupiter has giant aliens :)
