Homely I think if I was your SIL, that I'ld have been pretty disappointed not seeing the holiday markets up and running but it's nice that she found the good in not seeing the markets by focusing on the buildings.

Tree is up and lights are starting to be on around it. Early this morning, I watched the workers in a bucket truck decorate it. There is a BIG star on the top!

Hi Homely. Hubby and I did a Christmas Market cruise on Viking several years ago. Beautiful! Cold but not too cold to prevent our walks through the markets.
