MD I never heard of that custom for planting plants but if it helps a plant grow and makes a person feel better at the same time it sounds like it's worth talking to the bulbs before planting them.
I seem to remember hearing that if you plant a coin under a plant that will help ...

Maybe they'll have pretty planters out this spring to help pretty the town up.
There are a few webcams that I have a feeling I won't look at until next winter because they're starting to look uninteresting without the snow, especially the ski resorts !
