well i know they are not worms but they are certainly squirmy...my vote is caterpillars...i'v never seen flowers squirm...lol...i'm surprised the birds aren't picking them off...must taste bitter...

Those are either catkins caught in spider webs, or else caterpillars/grubs. Worms don't hang on threads in the open air like that ... they live in the soil. :-)

To me it just looks like a property that is only lived in occasionally. Half of this country is taken up with properties that are only occupied for a few months a year, while low income families struggle to keep their own homes. It was the same back in the UK in rural and seas...
