It's 49 here too!!!!! I'm touching wood as I say this but we haven't had any cold weather at all ....... though Storm Deirdre is on its way with freezing rain. Apparently it's rain that turns to ice when it hits a hard surface. I won't be going out in that!

I tried dishsoap ...... and salt ........ it was solid. The good thing is ...... I have a whole Christmas tree (minus one branch) to go at. LOL!!! I'm joking ...... I won't be doing it again. That's the first time I've blocked a sink since I've been here ..... 8 years...

I often pour bacon grease down the drain but I always squirt dishsoap into the pan with the grease, turn on the hot water and let it go....never had a problem...but I could never do it if hubby was around cause he said it would clog the drain!!!
