it needs to have a dvd player on it as well,so i can burn movies onto dvd-r discs

You can run for about 2 hours on battery power and it just hooks up to the internet with you standard USB plug our you can have a wireless set up. PC World have "tec guys" who come out to your home and set everything up if you need help.
