No special effects or over-the-top stunts. It's on at 1pm for me and I try not to miss it ....... although I've seen it several times already. I can rely on it to bring a smile to my face. Mentioning New England ...... it looks such a beautiful place - especially in the fall .....

My fascination with Brit expressions started when I used to watch "Last of the Summer Wine" and heard the words "bacon sarnie." That's when a friend gave me the British English Dictionary. Just like the UK, we in the US have different words for the same thing depending on area ...

Hi stargzr ......... I often have to look up words ....... for example .... perogies. I know Trix has mentioned them before but I'd forgotten what they were. We call them dumplings. :D

My sister-in-law used to do what she called a "Monday Pie." It was left-over bits and pieces from the fridge. I used to love visiting her. BJ has got several portions of that sauce in the freezer ...... she did a big batch. I really can't be bothered to faff just for myself.

yes...daughter baked chicken with fries and perogies...she called it a "garbage" dinner, where you clean the fridge of little servings of food! I don't mind the sauce in a jar...it's edible.
