Port Grimaud is not soulless as one of the comments say. I loved living there.

A cloudy day in paradise. We paid taxes to this town hall (mairie) for 7 years. I think we paid more than enough for them to buy secateurs and keep this foliage trimmed back. I want to be able to see the Med during the summer. :D

Oh good, they've changed the angle. Now.... if they could just clean the cam. :D

Mira Bilis, there..... we have a compromise! :D

Tree topping is very sensible ... doesn't kill the tree and encourages fresh growth. That's why we coppice our trees. It's like pruning roses ... keeps them vigorous and healthy. :)

Mira Bilis, of course trees are important but just lopping the top off this few wouldn't hurt. Dare I say it - of course I do- You have a vested interest in trees. LOL

Trees are important, provided they are carefully and lovingly managed. :)
Tennis gets my vote over the petrol-heads. ;)

N Q, you'd be able to see the Mediterranean bright blue sea (Cote d'Azur) in the distance, with a narrow band of white houses along the sea front.
