I was missing France and had been looking at Google maps. I made the little man walk along a street that I knew very well and remembered I'd once noticed a camera there. I just googled for "Free web cams" and discovered Opentopia. Everyday, without fail, I have a look at OT. There are so many beautiful places.

Thanks MD and kyle. I have found really interesting sites in here in the last week from places around the world. It makes me wonder how did you discover this website? In my case I was searching for a webcam in Barcelona that was showing the weather in the coast, and how crowded the beach was... Don't know how I got here and got stuck discovering not only the weather in my country but places I had never heard of.

Me again. On the Home page, click on All Cams, then click on Anywhere. Scroll down to Spain and click on it. It should say Spain (124) Go over to the extreme right and click on View. And there you are, 124 cams ready to view.

Hi Manuela. At one time we lived in the foothills of the Pyrenees, on the French side. In the winter months we would go to Spain for the warmer weather. Our first year we stayed in the Don Juan Hotel in Lloret. It wasn't much warmer than home but the hotel was so good we went back several times. Then we worked our way down the coast, staying in Barcelona, Elche, Guardamar del Segura (south of Alicante) and Mijas. The Campomar hotel at Guardamar is excellent, with friendly staff and good food. We were almost part of the family as we stayed for a minimum of 8 weeks. Once, we stayed for 12 weeks but put on too much weight!
Barcelona and Elche we stayed in Campanile hotels. Different styles of food but both superb. I love Spain.

go to Find, type in Spain, and go through the cams for Spain, you must each time click either the Spain or use the "back" function or it goes back to the Start and shows the normal cams, some experimenting will show you how and you'll find it , or it is no longer there,. Be well girls, have a wonderful day

Thank you for you information Mommie Dearest in Devon, definitely this website is easy to surf and I find my way to other interesting sites after a while. Easy and great to see new places.
Where did you live in Spain? What brought you to our sunny country?
I couldn't find the webcam showing the Cathedral of Barcelona, even if I live here I never get tired of my own city. It could be cool to get a glimpse of the same view from a webcam.
:)

Hello Mariana. I love Spain. I used to spend 3 months of the year there. There is a webcam of the cathedral at Barcelona and other places all over Spain but as you live there, you probably won't be interested.
As for finding webcams, it's a matter of trial and error. On the home page just go to All Cams and work your way through. There are quite a few similar to this one. And sometimes you get to see funny things. :))

Hello from Spain! I just discovered this site and I'm loving it so much! Glad to see there are people chatting over here. I'm new and I don't really know how this site works, which is the best way to find nice sites like this one, for example? Any other sunny and beautiful dining rooms? :) Thanks

Hi. They could have left the light on in the kitchen for us. I'm well. I've lived here for just over 3 years and always there have been sheep in the back field. This morning they had gone and a few hours ago I see 5 cows and their calves out there. I look forward to tomorrow so that I can see them in daylight.

Hi Dona. My son's partner has a daughter named Savana. That was the way she wanted to spell it. I really like this place. If you look at the Google map above, I've lived near Cogolin and at Frejus/Saint Raphael. It's a beautiful part of the world.

It IS fun to chat. I'm glad I'm not the only one who looks in on that lady. Her carers seem very good. I'm in England and it's almost one in the morning so I'm off to bed. We will probably chat tomorrow. Goodnight.

Hello again, 17196. Thank goodness for Opentopia! And for you having access to it. I only discovered it in November 2012 and I love it. Most of my favourites have been snow scenes but recently they have introduced lots of home cams, one of which is a lady in France who I think is having care in her own home. I call her Blossom and look in on her every day.
It sounds silly but just before I go to bed, I have one last look at her to make sure she's taken off her glasses before going to sleep! I certainly wouldn't like a camera on me!!!!
dona brantley04/18/13 21:26

Hi 17196. I thought I might be the only one watching this cam. I used to live just along the coast from here. Isn't it a lovely room, so cool to step into from the heat outside. As you say, they seem to be a great family, so comfortable with each other.
